Byron graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a bachelor's degree in Journalism. He holds the

certification and is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
Byron speaks and writes widely on the topic of financial planning. His newspaper columns appear weekly in The News-Star (Monroe, LA) and regularly in The Times (Shreveport, LA) and Ruston Daily Leader.
He appears weekly on his Money Matters segment on Monroe's Good Morning, Ark La Miss, the number one rated television program in Northeast Louisiana.
Byron's biggest break this side of heaven came when he married Melinda Burns Moore in 1985. They have four children.
They are why he smiles a lot.
